| One of the best games ever and right at the top of the
car combat titles. Twisted Metal did it first, and was improved on in Twisted
Metal 2. The timing of the Vigilante 8 release put it up against Twisted Metal
3 and Rogue Trip. Twisted Metal 3 was pretty weak, so it was this vs.

| Both have their own original twist on the genre, but the
goals of V8 set it apart. Protecting (or destroying) particular structures in
the various levels is more satisfying than taking pictures. |
